Initial coordinating meetings have been held with the
Director of Caritas/Hinche whose mission includes agriculture,
healthcare, micro-credit and women's rights. As a result
of an increased focus on health care, Caritas/Hinche has
set up a diocesan Health Committee, with representatives
of all Haitian parishes with a healthcare component as
well as four clinics in remote areas.
The Haiti Health Care Foundation serves as the primary
faciliator and organizer of the Richmond Diocese's partnership
with Caritas, linking twinned parishes to these new health
care opportunities.
