Haitian Health Care Foundation, INC

HHCF is a 501 c3 entity working across the Diocese of Richmond Parishes, in collaboration with the heathcare mission of the Diocese of Hinche in Haiti, to participate in the healing ministry of Christ amoung the under-served population of Haiti's Central Plateau.

The Foundation works with representatives from the Diocese of Richmond parishes and groups therein, local Haitian organizations, Medical Missionaries, and additional fund raising groups.

The HHCF Board works along with HHCF Associate Members are individuals with past/present experience in medical twinning projects in Haiti, or those interested in in future involvement.

HHCF began as a way to extend and promote activities at Klinik Lenkanasyon, at that time, the most advanced medical site of the Richmond Twinning Program.

The Richmond Diocese Incarnation parish formed the initial close relationship with the Klinik Lenkanasyon. Enhanced development by that parish alone was not seen as sustainable from finanical or political perspectives. The Foundation was envisioned as a way to promote similar developments in other areas using the pilot programs at Klinik Lenkanasyon as a hub for decelopment of parish health care twinning programs in Haiti's Central Plateau.

HHCF became 501 (c)(3) entity that is able to seek funding from a wide variety of sources not availible to parishes alone, and can therefore ease the burden on individual parishs' social ministries.

Joint parish efforts to support the HHCF and it's programs and projects are now a focus of the development of the HHCF.
